About Candice:

Candice Metzler uses the pronouns She, Her, and Hers or They, Them, Theirs and is the Executive Director of Transgender Education Advocates (TEA) of Utah. Candice has been involved with TEA for more than a decade, and community organizing and advocacy work for more than 30 years. She has served the LGBTQI community for more than a decade through group facilitation, individual counseling, program development, advocacy work, and community organizing and education.

Candice recently completed a PhD from the University of Utah and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Candice has two sons and is an avid outdoor enthusiast. They received the Pete Suazo Social Justice Award in 2012 for their advocacy work through education.
